John, the description is not the only factor that influences the product’s ranking. There are a lot of other factors too, like product images, reviews, ratings, price, etc. These are the main factors in ranking a product. So, if different vendors have the same product description, it will not have as much of an effect on the ranking, but I will suggest that you change your description to match the other sellers.
