You can get your UTR from your taxman when you register for self-assessment.

When you register for self-assessment, your taxman will give you your UTR.

If you are unable to locate any documentation from HMRC, contact the Self Assessment hotline to seek your UTR or Unique Taxpayer Reference. If you operate a limited company, you can submit an online request for your Corporation Tax UTR. The business address listed with Companies House will get it from HMRC.
