I have had an experience with this recently, so what happens is that, suppose your ad was clicked by a buyer 2-days ago, and then they may be saved the product or thought they will visit the listing later and purchase it after 2-days, even though you’ll get the sale today, the sale will be counted towards that ad click 2-days ago.

Amazon attribution is a tool measuring the advertising results from outside the Amazon, it does not have any affect on our campaigns

The time span between a customer clicking on a PPC ad and making a purchase can be several days. Amazon checks to verify if an ad click results in a sale up to 14 days later in order to properly attribute a sale to a campaign. The attribution window refers to this time frame.

If a customer clicks on your ad two days ago and saves the item or decides to visit the listing later and make a purchase, even though you make a transaction today, the sale will be credited to the customer’s two-day-old ad click.
