It depends on the specific policies of the seller you are buying from on Amazon. In general, when you place an order on Amazon for a product that is out of stock, you will not be charged for shipping until the item is back in stock and is ready to be shipped.

If your product is out of stock then the buyer gets the future date on the detail page on which the product will be delivered to them and when the product will be delivered, Amazon charges the shipping fee.

There is one thing that if the seller have the inventory inbound then you’ll be shown a future date of delivery, or in another case it will say temporarily out of stock, then when you place the order you’ll not be charged until later on when the product becomes available.

No, Amazon didn’t charge you for the product that is out of stock; whenever this product is back in stock and Amazon ships it to your address, Amazon will charge for the shipping.

If you have order when the product is out of stock then Amazon will give you some future delivery date which depends upon the inventory Availability. After this amazon will definitely charge shipping fee as it takes usually.
