So I went to GS1 where I was told I can buy labels. I saw the pricing chart and I’m confused. Are they charging per unit of a product or is it one code for all units of one product that you pay for the ASIN?

Dear Sylvester, you only pay for one code, it is up to you how many units you sell off that specific code. Amazon does not charge per unit.

Sylvester, every product has its own unique UPC. It depends on the total number of products in your account and how many UPCs you will buy. If you want to buy one UPC, you must pay $30, ten UPCs for $250, and one hundred UPCs for $750, so I recommend that you buy a bundle of UPCs based on your product range since you know which products you will launch in the future. And remember one more thing: buy the UPC with your brand name. Otherwise, you will face issues if you don’t buy under the correct brand name.

Whenever you create the listing on amazon , amazon will ask you for the UPC which is unique for each product and listing, so that means you need the UPC for that product for which you are creating the listing, you don’t need to buy UPC for each unit, you can ship as many unit as you want, but the UPC will be one for the product you are going to sell.
