No, if we’re getting clicks but no sales, we should lower the bid, but we’re not going to put it on negative.
-
yes, you can negatively target your keyword depending on the campaign if you have launched the campaign for the first time and getting clicks only then instead of doing negative targeting you should pause that keyword.
-
No, rather than target the main keyword in negative try to lowering the bid to control the budget as well as also check the search terms.
-
No, you shouldn’t negate the main keyword, if this is a high bid keyword, you can keep the bid a little bit low, because as the campaign gets older, the bid for the main keyword will become low. Also, the Impressions on the main keywords also help us to rank.

No you should never add your main keywords in negative. If you are getting only clicks not sales then you should optimize your bids but never negative your main keywords.
-
Yes you can put your main keyword in negative targeting for some time and when you are got the organic sales from other keywords and your listing got some ratings and reviews and you can target the main keywords.
-
don’t put your main keyword in negative if your are getting clicks you can reduce the bids or change the bidding strategy.
This Time Too Shall Pass -
No I would say we should never target the main keyword in negative part because due to high competition it’s seen that we get so many clicks on main keywords when we launch a new product as well as campaign so we must optimize the bids for the main keywords rather than putting in negative part.
-
No do not negatively target your main keyword. If you are getting high spend on main keyword, check the search terms if you have targeted the keyword in phrase or broad match type. If there are some irrelevant keywords added along with the main keyword in search terms then negatively target these irrelevant keywords. You can also lower the bid of main keyword but never target it negatively.
-
No we should not do the negative targeting the main keyword.
if you will phase the problem of spend than you can decrease the bid of the keywords -
No we should not have to put the main keyword in negative targeting however we should have to try to decrease the spend on main keyword through adjusting the bid on that keyword.

Two things you can do, first would be to decrease the bid of the keyword, if it still gives spend, then you can remove it or even negatively target in the campaign, and add it into a new campaign with high, as keywords tend to perform differently in different campaigns.
