The term “negative keyword” is specific to keywords while “negative targeting” includes both ASINs and keywords.

Negative keywords means that the keyword is not right for your campaign and negative targeting means targeting irrelevant keywords or ASINs, in your PPC Campaigns

There is no as such different in negative targeting and negative keywords, whenever you run manual keywords targeting campaign, it will only show you to negative target the keywords, and if you run auto campaign, the campaign will give you two options in negative targeting tab, negative product targeting and negative keywords targeting.

In negative you can put just negative keywords which are not relevant to your product and in negative targeting both things will be added Negative keywords and negative product.
Negative keywords term will be count in negative targeting.

When we use word “negative keyword” we target only keyword which is not related to our product and causing extra spend, but in case of “negative targeting” we target keyword and ASINs which are producing extra spend and high ACOS.

Negative keywords means that type of keywords not related to your product as well as Negative Targeting like those ASIN’s whose are not related to your product to avoid extra spend.
